Bailey Jay (Virginia, November 5, 1988) is an American transgender glamour model and pornographic actress. She quickly rose to fame thanks to the Line Trap meme during the Otakon ’07 event. She later began a career in fashion and pornography. Line Trap is a famous meme that originated on the 4chan website in the United States in 2007. This phenomenon consists of a video and a group of photos about the transgender teenager Bailey Jay.
The Line Trap phenomenon began at the Otakon ’07 anime convention. While waiting in line, a teenager named Bailey Jay Griffin, according to her official Facebook page, jumped out of line and took off her shirt, exposing her breasts, and then the young spectators began shouting Trap, Trap, Trap (a reference to the historic phrase from the movie Star Wars, It’s A Trap). When an event coordinator approached, Granger blurted out: “…It’s okay, I’m a boy! Seriously…” During the course of the event, several photos and videos of the incident were leaked on the Internet, particularly on the photo-sharing site 4chan, creating a practical joke based on Bailey Jay’s feminine appearance.
She made her debut in the porn industry in 2010, at the age of 22. She won the AVN Award for Transsexual Performer of the Year in 2011 and 2012.
In 2016, she was nominated again at the AVN Awards in the Best Transsexual Sex Scene category for the film Trans Lesbians.
In addition to her work as a porn actress, Bailey Jay also uploads various podcasts. She co-hosts The Bailey Jay Show podcast with her husband, photographer Matthew Terhune; The Trans Witching Hour with Bailey Jay podcast; the horror and fear podcast Blood Lust with Bailey Jay; and another podcast on transgender and transsexual issues called Sugar and Spice, co-hosted with Jen Richards on the We Happy Trans website.
