Beginnings

She started out shooting only lesbian scenes. It wasn’t until 2005 that we enjoyed her in the first straight film. Penny Flame exceeded all expectations. Penny wasn’t the kind of actress who looks forced and uncomfortable. Her performances were always well above average. It didn’t seem that sex was a mere formality to get an income, she enjoyed and transmitted a genuine sexual desire towards her fellow actors. That year she won her first AVN Award in the category of best solo sex scene by Repo Girl (2003).

Becoming a Pornstar

Unfortunately, for all of us, she never agreed to anal sex. At adultdvdtalk.com she said that she hated it and would never practice it no matter how good the offer was. Even with that, she established herself as one of the biggest stars in the whole panorama, recording a significant number of films while maintaining a more than remarkable performances. Her well-deserved recognition came in 2008 with the AVN Award for Best Actress for Layout (2006). In 2009, she appeared in Sex Rehab with Dr. Drew, a reality show where celebrities tried to overcome their sex addiction and make good money at the same time. She explained that she started having sex at a very young age and since then she has based all her relationships on it. A year later she did the same at Celebrity Rehab Presents Sober House, the spin off where we could see the good rehabilitation of the participants of the first program.

The abrupt retirement

She took advantage of the opportunity and appeared on several television programs, talking about her experience in the industry and her recent appearance on the aforementioned programs. That 2009, convinced that in order to solve her problem she had to give up her job as a pornstar, she completely disengaged herself from the industry. Already under her real name, Jennifer Ketcham, she signed up for college and started blogging about her new life away from the lust of professional porn. She continued her writing career as an editor at Huffpost and published a book in 2012.
